Conta a Bíblia que, depois de muito tempo à procura de um lugar para albergar o casal, que se encontrava em viagem por motivo de recenseamento de toda a Galileia , José e Maria tiveram que pernoitar numa gruta ou cabana nas imediações de Belém. Nasceu o presépio. Nasceu a minha colecção.
The Holy Family and a few Portuguese Saints
It all began when someone offered me, a few years ago, a small figure of a Holy figure made of clay, called Santo António, the patron Saints of Lisbon, Portugal.
Then my Gram ma offered me her mother's Holy Family of the earlier 50's....
So started my this passion for Portuguese ceramicists.
I began to collect figures and cribs (Holy Family) made of clay, stone, wood, paper, fruit seeds....
This is my collection that I share with you.
I thank all storekeepers and friends that helped me increase my little treasure.
You are very welcome to leave notes or comments about my blog and my collection.
There are figures left to add, that I will do from time to time.
